link Triggers
A Trigger determines when Notify sends a message. Unlike standard Google Sheets™ notifications, which are often delayed or generic, Notify triggers run in near real-time.
We support two primary modes, which you can select in the Trigger Logic step.
link 1. Any Change
This mode fires an alert every time a cell in your target column changes.
Any ChangePending to Approved, it fires. If you delete a value, it fires.link 2. Specific Value
This mode only fires when the cell content matches a specific rule.
Specific ValueDone).Exact Match (Case Sensitive)
Status = ErrorExact Match
Stock = 0Boolean State
Checked (TRUE)Formula Values
link The "Current Only" Scope
Notify uses spreadsheets.currentonly permission scope. This is a security feature that ensures:
link Rate Limiting
To prevent spamming your chat when you bulk-edit a spreadsheet:
If you paste 50 rows at once, Notify will attempt to process them.
We process alerts in a FIFO (First In, First Out) queue.
link Next Steps
Now that you have a trigger, you need to decide what the message says.
